The Newbury

The Newbury is a sophisticated gastropub in the heart of Newbury renovated in 2012 with subsequent additions including roof terrace and outside bar. During the warmer months handmade pizzas are served from the pizza oven on the roof terrace.

The menu is created around the seasons using locally sourced artisan produce and changes regularly to provide a fabulous dining experience. The kitchen team is headed by returning Head Chef Darren Booker-Wilson.

In addition to vegetarian you will also find gluten free options and with prior notice more choices can be offered.

The pub has a spacious bar area serving fresh ground coffee, a selection of local ales, wines and spirits, all of which can be enjoyed at the bar or on the lounge sofas. Outside there is a downstairs patio as well as the rooftop terrace with its own bar and awning when necessary.

The Newbury has received multiple awards including more recently being recognised as a Special Place to Eat & Drink by Sawday's 2016/17 and recommended in the Good Pub Guide 2017. The pub has also featured in the Michelin Guide for the past 3 years (2015-2017), and the Michelin’s new Eating Out in Pubs. CAMRA listed them in their Good Beer Guide for 2016 too.
